What I have delivered for charlotte...

Housing & Anti-Displacement

  • Advanced a $100 million Housing Trust Fund to expand affordable housing and homeownership

  • Ensured District 4 neighborhoods were included in the “Staying in Place” Pilot,      helping seniors remain in their homes with city repair support.

Infrastructure & Mobiity

  • Championed Charlotte’s first public infrastructure meeting (Dec 2022), laying the      foundation for the Strategic Mobility Plan.

  • Consistently pushed for responsible, equitable growth that prioritizes safety,      staffing, and infrastructure.

Equity & Access

  • Secured ASL interpretation at every Council meeting, giving 132,000 hard-of-hearing residents full access to their government.

  • Advanced Charlotte’s historical Nondiscrimination Ordinance (NDO), expanding protections for residents against discrimination.

  • Introduced the concept that created the source-of-income protections to expand housing fairness.

  • Championed rezoning transparency, introducing QR codes so residents can easily see and understand what’s being proposed in their neighborhoods.

Community Voice

  • Created the District 4 Community Coalition, ensuring residents guide development and city decisions.

  • Initiated the Corporate Buyer Deterrence on Demand Training, helping HOA leaders strengthen bylaws and  protect neighborhoods.

Workforce Advocacy

  • Introduced the concept of the City–CPCC partnership, enabling City of Charlotte employees to earn associate  degrees at no cost and opening apprenticeships, co-ops, and internships across 25+ city career fields.

  • Secured a $24.00 minimum wage for City of Charlotte employees.

  •  Stood with unions and workers in the fight for fairness

Every step, my focus has been clear: protect District 4 neighborhoods by advancing equitable housing, ensuring responsible and strategic development, and demanding public accountability — because our community deserves nothing less!
